Yesterday, 02/23, Irina Kozulina passed away. She was 49, and she was suffering from cancer.
Eight days before, on 02/15 president Lukashenko told he proposed to her husband Alexander Kozulin, who is a political prisoner, to 'give him a possibility to take wife to the Deutchland to save her life'. Kozulin refused, and Lukashenko commented this as 'he does not want to save life or mother of his daughters'.
On 02/16, Irina Kozulina, did a written declaration (she lost voice, and was not able to take a press-conference). In this declaration she told that she share and support decision of her husband to refuse from such a proposition. Also she wrote she is abused of Lukashenko's words.
On 02/20, Olga Kozulina, daughter of the prisoner, explained details of Lukashenko's proposition. Kozulin was proposed to be freed from prison, and to 'take wife to the Deutchland doctors', if he'll promise to not appear in the country again for a quite long term. Also Olga told that Deutchland doctors never proposed her mother any exclusive recurement programs, all cancer-fighting was performed in Belarusian hospitals, with attention to the Deutch doctors recommendations.
Irina Kozulina passed away in evening on 02/23, at an emergency rescue reception of Minsk hospital #2.
Year ago, she supported medical congress in Minsk on questions of struggle with mammal cancer. During organizational negotiations, she should hide her surname from official persons.
