Please write or even better, phone, the Japanese Embassy in your country immediately to ask for the release of Dr. Martin Kramer. You will have to explain the situation to them. Info below (sorry, only English so far). Demostrations also appreciated. -J
from Martin Kramer at 4am Tuesday March 11: Dear comrades,
In my deportation confinement at Sapporo-Otaru I have got very limited access to the Internet (only some minutes per day) and no possibilities to phone at all. I am watched day and night. Every effort to transfer documents to Japanese comrades is suppressed at an early stage.
below you find a list of contacts for Latin American embassies in Japan which I have tried to ask for political consular asylum, my request dating from Monday, the 10th of January (my letter in Spanish and English in the attachment for your free use). I do not even know if the embassies have even registered this request of mine and are going to react at all.
Time is running out fast now, we have less than 72 hours to react to the Japanese assault on mobility rights of activists.
It would be a great help for me, if you could send the attached request letter to the embassies and ask them on the phone for the time window they foresee for a reaction from their part.
Remember, this treatment awaits us all if we do not react adequately NOW,
¡hasta la vitoria, siempre!
Vuestro Martín
