Hello comrades,
Here we want to invite you again to participate in upcoming edition of our common project AbolishingBB. We just started to work on issue #32 of the journal and we have set DEADLINE for this one on MAY 5. Until this day we will wait for your participation:
- reports from SOCIAL CONFLICTS taking place in your region, - reports on activities of ANARCHIST GROUPS, projects, organisations and movements, - COMMENTARIES and ANALYSES of politics of our enemies - governments, political parties and capitalistic spheres, - reports on STRUGGLES undertaken in WORKPLACES, UNIVERSITIES, NEIHBOURHOODS, by MIGRANT communities and other oppressed minorities and majorities; - reports and analyses of ongoing STATE REPRESSION and on the ways to fight them back as a movement (we expect for sure materials from Poland, Russia, Belarus and Romania ), - reports on activities of fascist/nationalist front and ANTIFASCIST RESISTANCE, - TRANSLATIONS of the most interesting texts written by anarchists, texts which appeared only in local publications, websites or blogs, in the last weeks, - reports from daily live, activities and struggles of the SQUATED SPACES, - HISTORICAL TEXTS on unknown pieces of anarchist and syndicalist history, - THEORETICAL texts on system of oppression, ways of fighting it back or on anarchist social philosophy and praxis;
Most of you know anyway it is you who are deciding on the content of our journal, or to be more exactly: the things happening on which you decide to report on!
From our side we would find as important to continue focusing on issue of ongoing MILITARISATION of the region, on issue of repression and resistance in workplaces which issues took so much space in the last editions of ABB. In connection with the international actions days for squats and autonomous spaces which took place on 11-12 of April, we would like to direct as well some more attention to the issue of squatting and creating autonomous spaces in Eastern Europe (see below this communiquИ for few sentences of specification on that topic).
We set deadline not without reason on May 5. This way you have a possibility to pass us as well reports from MAYDAY activities in your cities, what is a little tradition of our journal to give these reports a lot of space each year. Mayday pages in ABB are giving each year a bit of feeling of actual strength of anarchist presence around the region, as on May 1 almost everywhere in EE actions are taking place.
AbolishingBB is being taken in consideration and read by more and more people around the world (very slow but consequent development), what means that the content of the journal information from EE and the anarchist perspective from which they are presented - have more and more impact on critically thinking people in various places. We are trying to deal with this development consciously and keep our journal going on against various obstacles appearing again and again, and keep its content on relative good and interesting level. It can happen only with your help! So we would like to encourage you to give ABB a bit extra time in upcoming 2 weeks and prepare materials for new edition of the journal.
We are always there for your questions, proposals, ideas and critics. Just write on abolishingbb@riseup.net On this address you should send as well your materials till May 5.
If you will have little delay, please contact us so we can see how to deal with too late coming materials.
Hope to hear from you all soon!
Your editorial crew from Abolishing the Borders from Below

Squatting and creating autonomous spaces some more specific ideas on that issue:
- we have heard about some actions connected to the days of action in EE (minsk/belarus, budapest/hungria, vilnius & kaunas/lithuania, ropice & prague/czech) and maybe there was some more going on... Let us know about how the actions went, of their character, reaction of the people/media, and its relevance for local anarchist movement in general.
- around EE there are definitely taking place politically motivated squatting activities, some autonomous spaces are successfully defended since years, some of them are right now fighting for their further existence. These spaces are definitely deeply involved in other local social conflicts and networks. We would be interesting to collect some more materials about these different places.
- but than, already 4 years ago (ABB#17) touched by ABB issue of squatting undertaken by 'common' people as an reaction on poverty and hopelessness. Are there any links between these initiatives to anarchist initiatives? Which kind of state repression is set against these initiatives? Is squatting to survive sometimes going along with conscious organizing in anarchist revolutionary terms?
See if you can participate by covering anyhow upcoming topic.
