What happened in Belarus to anarchists in September last year, today happens to everybody who opposes the official policy of the state. But we shouldn’t forget 4 persons, who are currently detained by Belarusian law enforcement agencies.

Today (January 21) it became known that detention term of Mikalaj Dziadok extended until March 6th, and the term of investigation on his case extended until April 9th. Ihar Alinevich, Maksim Vetkin and Aliaxandar Frantskevich detention term was extended until April.

It is expected that the case of all four detainees will go to stage of acquaintance with the materials untill the end of this month.

Against the background of “the famous” prisoners we want to remind that all these four men are political prisoners. For us, it isn’t principal whether they commit crimes of which they are accused. Far more important than the fact that the punishment for these actions disproportionate and this case is politically motivated. In September, Lukashenka said that he personally will be engaged in this case. So justice is not the question in this case. As in the case of arrested opposition leaders, who are charged with “rioting”
