Miners of “Belaruskaliy” salt mines are preparing to the picketing against changes already applied to the Labour Code and against new law “About pension ensurance” which is going to be considered by parliament. In accordance to the law, they commited the appropriate notification to the local state bodies.

Picketing will occur at October 2nd — in the day, when parliament session will be opened.

Picketing notification is signed by private persons, not by independent trade union of miners. It’s leader Mikalai Novik also denies the fact of

self-raised strike, which happened on September 9.

Information about Sep9 strike was distributed via liberal opposition media by Salihorsk local “Khelsinki Human Rights Commitee” division. According to http://praca-by.info, another independent trade-unions declared their support to the strike post-factum.
