What we talked about over the last several months: |
22.02.2007 planned:
what got discussed:
25.01.2007 – arrest in Belarus of activist Stas: WSF Nairobi, samizdat, irc meetings, 6 deg separation hypothesis 26.12.2006 (en) 2 people (1 pl, 1 by) were active in the chat, 1 (imc toulouse – fr/es) listened; themes included concern about an Indypendent NYC Green Party advertisement, learning irc, and mobile phone → email → www (indymedia CMS) usage by IMC St Petersburg (“Piter” has not yet been through new-imc/imc-process.) http://piter.indymedia.ru/?q=en/node/338 [Imc-europe] next informal CEE chat Thurs 26.10.2006 (last Thursday in month) 19.00 UTC+2 #europe at https://irc.indymedia.org (en) In Torun we want to try again for another informal CEE chat, again the last Thursday of the month: 19:00 UTC+2 THURS 26.10.2006 #europe. The torun tech group will try to prepare better this time. What do people propose as themes for discussion? max? angdraug? anyone? Agenda:
Mon Oct 16 15:19:42 PDT 2006 time permitting i try to attend the meeting. rather than trying to produce an article together, i would be more interested in getting to know the other collectives and how they work, identifying best practices. i think that it is necessary to know each other better first and after that we can try to collaborate more closely. however, if there will be a specific proposal for an article i can try to help making it happen. i also ask my collective if there would be anyone else participating. emphasis added. Since we know that people from belarus/hungary/torun are motivated to participate, maybe we can think of a common theme interesting to people in our three places on which we could put together material for an article. We could start work on it “live” during the chat (on the twiki) and post URLs in the chat itself etc. In principle, this would make an ideal global feature article – something from more than 1 local imc. How to edit this: create an account and use textile syntax. |
