Alena Dubovik and Alexander Jarashevich were arrested yesterday at 7 a.m. during the search at their rented apartemnt. Acoording to the search warrant shown by the cops, they were suspected of taking art in the march against the joint russian-belarusian maneurs and throwing smoke pellet onto the territory of the General Office of the armed forces of Republic of Belarus on the 19th September 2009. the arrested were interrogated for the whole day first in the main department of combating the organized crime and corruption, then in the police department of the Central district of Minsk city. During the interrogation they were asked as well if they knew who attacked the Russian embassy on the 30th August 2010 and 'Shangri La' casino on the 5th December 2009. By the evening of the same day both Alena and Alexander were released without any accusations.
In the middle of the day Alena seen other arrested activist - Hanna Charnyshova in the department of organized crime - though there are no information about her release or whereabouts.
Recently, Alexander and Hanna have been actively engaged in the campaign around the detained Minsk anarchists, keeping in touch with the lawyers, relatives and friends of the detainees as well as with the media. We believe that the new searches and detention is yet another attempt by the authorities to put pressure on activists and those who are trying not to leave the incidents without attention, who speak to the media, and disseminate information.
