Minobrazovaniya: in 2007 in VUZ - Institute of Higher Education of Belarus 700 budgetary places will be removed

The reduction of budgetary places, according to the Minister of Education of Belarus, Aleksandr Rad’kov, is caused by the decrease of the number of high school seniors. The Minister reported this on 25 January to the full Board of the Ministry of Education. First of all, the reduction will affect humanitarian specialties, specified Aleksandr Rad’kov.

In this case, the Minister of Education noted, ”we do not forbid to VUZ - Institute of Higher Education to increase method by the paid department within the framework of license requirements”, reported BelaPAN.

In 2006 the plan of entry into VUZ - Institute of Higher Education – has budgetary places for 22.7 thousand students, so that, explained Aleksandr rad’kov, the reduction of 700 places as a whole will not influence the target figures of entry into VUZ - Institute of Higher Education in the following training year.

Before the full Board of the Ministry of Education, the Head of Department also informed journalists about that which in 2007 of any changes in the rules of method into VUZ - Institute of Higher Education will not foresee.

The Minister of Education of Belarus’ reported that the specialists of department studied the need of the country for the specialists with higher education up to 2015. In the near several years will oshchushchat’sya the ”need for the personnel of engineering, structural shape, the specialists of the agribusiness”, described Aleksandr Rad’kov.
