The authorities of Soligorsk block the construction of a new polyclinic. Even the police took part in the conflict. “Somehow” they learnt about the existence of some leaflets with the activists’ proclamation for the citizens of Soligorsk and managed to confiscate the material. Near the entrance of the capital of miners the police detained a radio-electronic Minsk region trade union activist Nikolai Pohabov. He carried a heap of these printed leaflets for the citizens of Soligorsk. The leaflets were confiscated.
In the proclamation Soligorsk people were offered to join the campaign that the activists of The RETU (Radio-Electronic Trade Union) and some civil activists had begun. The motto of the movement is “The new polyclinic WILL be constructed in the city.” The capacity of the only policlinic is about 680 visitors a day, but 1800 visits a day are made instead.
